Caerphilly Birth centre is a stand alone unit that caters for a maximum of 500 births a year. The home birth rate is 8%

It is situated in the town of Caerphilly but the catchment is not geographical. Any mother may come to Caerphilly providing she confirms to our normality framework tool.

The Birth Centre has retained its Baby Friendly Initiative award for the second time. The Centre has been awarded highly commended for the British Journal of Midwifery 'Team of the Year' award and highly commended for the NCT 'Better Birth Environment' award.
