Because the sample sizes are quite small, a number that deviates from the average for England is not necessarily statistically significantly different from the English average. Two trusts may show the same percentage response, but it is possible that only one of them is marked as significantly different to the English average. This is because the survey sample size varies with trust. This data should not be used to rank trusts (generate league tables) as the precise ordering can not be ascertained due to the inherent inaccuracies of small sample surveys.
